How does the paint look - exterior,
interior - touch-up or full paint job needed?
Does
the siding need washed down?
Windows need cleaned?
Do the
walls need cleaned?
Do the
floors need cleaned and waxed?
What
do you think a buyer's first impression would be of the outside
of the home?
Do the
windows and doors work as expected? If not, why not? Fix them!
Screens in good condition, no holes?
Door
mats and throw rugs clean and not a trip hazard?
Carpets need cleaned or replaced?
Get
neutral colors if you replace carpeting.
Smoking odor? Air it out!
Pet
odor? Air it out!
Basement, garage and storage areas should be neat.
Put
items in storage, if you have to, to make closets and storage
areas look more spacious.
Remove
some bulky furniture to make a room look larger.
Keep
the grass cut and the yard neat.
In
winter, keep the driveway and walks clear of ice and snow.
Are
all appliances that remain with the house in good repair?
When
the house is being shown, put the lights on and open the drapes,
make it bright and cheery.
Stay
out of the way or visit a friend when an agent is showing your
home.
Put
your valuables in a secured place while your home is on the
market.
A
buyer will not like your pet as well as you do, keep it out of
the way.
If you
are not certain of what to do, ask your agent before spending
time or money.
Think
of your home as a product on the market.
Remember that you are in competition with others trying to
sell their homes.
To
sell your home, price it right.

person wants to see your home and is not with an agent, please
have them contact me. I will screen all "lookers" for
your safety and convenience.
Inform
